CBA President J. Parker MacCarthy, Q.C. has issued a response to the Aug. 6 cover story in Maclean’s magazine. Entitled “The truth about lawyers” and published in the Aug. 13 edition, the letter sets the record straight by focusing on the positive work lawyers do, the role of lawyers and law societies, and the role of the CBA in improving the justice system and access to justice. The editors have countered with their response that is available on the macleans.ca website.
