What We Do
Promotes the interests of lawyers employed in the government and public sectors. It provides programs to lawyers not in private practice, such as unionization, self insurance, freedom of information requests and other issues of common concern to those employed by crown corporations, societies, government and funded agencies.

Section Submissions
CBA members and professional staff are actively involved in the development of government policy and law reform, lobbying on matters identified by members or responding to government initiatives. National Public Sector Lawyers' Forum
The Public Sector Lawyers' Forum is:

  • a special interest group of CBA members who are employed as lawyers at some level of government or in a public sector agency
  • a forum for discussion of topics of interest to public sector lawyers
  • interested in bringing public sector lawyers together for personal and work benefits
  • a tool for promoting the interests of public sector lawyers
  • run by an Executive Committee that meets in person usually twice a year
