CBA members and professional staff are actively involved in the development of government policy and law reform, lobbying on matters identified by members or responding to government initiatives. National International Law Section
Any aspect of International Law, its development and application in domestic law, that is of special interest to Canada, such as:

• to provide members with information on current developments of interest to lawyers interested international law (e.g., Hague conventions, trade agreements, labour rights agreements)
• to promote a better understanding of international law issues among CBA members, lawyers generally, government and the public
• to promote ongoing consultations with the Government of Canada on international law issues
• to contribute to the review of Canadian legislation relating to international law
• to facilitate interaction with lawyers interested in international law in countries outside of Canada
