Civil Liberties deals with the law where the rights of the individual are subject to infringement; prevention of injustice to individuals.

Section Newsletters Constitutional Notes is a new initiative of the Constitutional/Civil Liberties Section Executive. It is intended to inform members of upcoming Section activities, and to provide members with brief summaries of significant appellate constitutional law cases from the previous quarter and citations for new articles on constitutional issues.
Section Annual Reports Annual reports provide a review of the Section activities for the year, including speakers and topics, special events, and resolutions.
Section Listservs Participate in discussions via email with fellow CBA members, tapping into a trusted source of expertise in a new way. Section Submissions CBA members and professional staff are actively involved in the development of government policy and law reform, lobbying on matters identified by members or responding to government initiatives. National Constitutional and Human Rights Law Section The purpose of the Section is to examine all constitutional and human rights law issues, including division of legislative powers, judicial review of the Constitution, constitutional reform, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, human rights codes, and international human rights law.
