Birth/Adoption Benefit Program The CBA's Birth/Adoption Benefit Program is available to all CBA members on parental leave. Members in good standing may be eligible for a maximum credit of twelve months towards their membership fees.
Waiver of Dues Program The Waiver of Dues Program is available to all CBA members who are unemployed and actively seeking employment, or on a leave of absence due to illness or disability. Applicants whose CBA membership was in good standing the previous membership year may be eligible to have their fees waived for a period up to one year.
Members' Special Circumstances Fund The CBA's Members' Special Circumstances Fund was created in recognition of individual lawyers who occasionally undertake extraordinary work in the public interest at a greatly reduced income. Because the CBA recognizes that members in these circumstances may not be able to retain their membership for economic reasons, the Members' Special Circumstances Fund was created. Members who take on work in the public interest and generate very minimal income can apply to this fund for the purposes of requesting the fund pay for their CBA membership fees for the year. The CBA applauds these individuals for their contribution to the legal profession and the public at large.
