 Mobina Jaffer QC Appointed to the Senate

Congratulations to Mobina Jaffer QC on her appointment to the Senate. Ms. Jaffer has practised law in BC since 1978 and is known for her active involvement with the CBA, Trial Lawyers Association and the Immigration and Refugee Board. She was a member of the CBA Multicultural Committee in 1994-95, and has been a guest speaker at the CBABC Gender Issues Section. Ms. Jaffer was awarded a Canada 125 medal in 1992 for her work on equality issues. She has also been recognized with a YWCA Women of Distinction Award and a Justice Achievement Award from the Law Courts Education Society. Congratulations, Senator Jaffer!
