UBC Law Faculty Receives $1 Million Gift

Davis LLP and Mr. Irwin Davis, grandson of the firm’s founder Edward Pease Davis, K.C., have just announced a $1 million donation to the UBC Faculty of Law.

The $1 million gift will be directed to the faculty’s new building project designed to meet the needs of future law students and legal researchers.

Davis LLP joins the ranks of a select group of law firms who have provided donations to the faculty, but owns the unique position of being the only national law firm to originate in Vancouver. The firm and its founding father have played pivotal roles in the Vancouver legal community since the firm originated in 1892.
