Mandate
This Committee is an important component of the decision-making process for appointing new Provincial Court judges. The Committee’s task is to help the Judicial Council of British Columbia assess applicants for the Provincial Court Bench. The Advisory Committee makes reports on all applicants who apply for a position with the Provincial Court and is the primary source of information for assessing the suitability of applicants, as well as, the primary source of information for deciding whether or not the Judicial Council will grant an interview.

Committee members should also be able to attend at least one annual meeting with members of the Judicial Council.
