VANCOUVER—Members of the Media are invited to attend a special Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch event on Saturday December 8 at the Delta Airport Hotel in Richmond, BC (3500 Cessna Drive).

CBABC’s quarterly Provincial Council meeting will include the following speakers/presenters on the topic of “Canada after September 11”:

• Stephen Owen, MP Vancouver Quadra, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Justice of Canada

• Senator Mobina Jaffer QC

• Greg DelBigio,CBABC Co-Presenter to Commons and Senate Committees Reviewing Bill C-36

• Palbinder Shergill

Stephen Owen and Greg DelBigio will present in the morning (9:30 am and 10:00 am respectively). Senator Jaffer QC, Professor Young, Ravi Hira QC, and Palbinder Shergill will participate in an afternoon Round Table discussion moderated by Vancouver lawyer Jennifer Conkie (1:30 – 2:15 pm).
