Community Service Award
To recognize the valuable contributions of CBABC members serving the communities in our province, every other year the CBABC sponsors Community Service Awards in each county. A limited number of awards are awarded in each county. The awards honour CBABC members who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, service and commitment to the community. Service to the profession and contributions of a legal nature are not considered for these awards.

Equality and Diversity Award
The Equality and Diversity Award celebrates the accomplishments of a CBABC member who has succeeded in advancing equality in the legal profession or generally in British Columbia. This Award recognizes significant contributions to improving the status of women, people with disabilities, people of colour, Aboriginal people or peoples, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, or two-spirited people or people who are members of historically marginalized communities.

Harry Rankin, QC Pro Bono Award
In recognition of the immense contribution of Harry Rankin, QC in supporting access to justice for the poor, the CBABC resolved to establish an annual reward to recognize the outstanding contributions by a member of the CBABC in the area of pro bono work.

Work Life Balance Award
The Work Life Balance Section of the CBABC presents the Work Life Balance Award to recognize lawyers, law firms or organizations who demonstrate leadership in promoting work life balance within the practice of law. This Award is designed to reward innovation and creative thinking in work life balance and to recognize a CBABC member, law firm or organization who demonstrates this balance in their practice or who is a leader in the development and implementation of work life balance strategies.
