We are the International Assistance Committee of the Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch and we send used legal textbooks to organizations overseas.
In the last five years, we have sent textbooks to a number of countries including South Africa, Namibia, Zanzibar, Cambodia, Laos, Fiji, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Zambia and Kenya. The organizations that have received books include human rights organizations, law societies, and bar associations.
But our stock of used textbooks is very low and we need more to meet the demands. The most useful books, and those most often requested include text books on constitutional law, evidence, criminal law, family law, professional practice, and annotated statutes. We do not accept or send legal reporters as most case law can now be found on the internet.
So, if you don’t want your books, We Do!
If you have books you would like to donate, or if you have any questions about the Committee, please contact:

Thank you!
