
Mangat Decision to be Appealed Fighting for public protection It seemed like a clear-cut case: after investigating a series of client complaints against immigration consultant Jaswant Singh Mangat, the Law Society of BC won a BC Supreme Court injunction prohibiting Mr. Mangat from practising immigration law without the necessary credentials required to practice law in BC.
 The CBA’s Leadership Role What does it mean in 1999? Two special events will be hosted by the CBA in the coming months. At first glance, they look unrelated: a President’s Forum on the Business of Law on April 16; and a National Flag Day Citizenship Ceremony for 100 new Canadians on February 15.
