Description: Recent studies have shown that Lawyers, when tested for resilience, consistently score in the bottom half of the general population. This makes them more sensitive to criticism or rejection, more defensive, as well as being more easily hurt. This may be a consequence of a fruitless “pursuit of perfectionism” rather than seeking excellence. This workshop focuses on ways to develop and improve resilience by making you more “psychologically tough” without losing your compassion or sensitivity toward others.

Options for Lawyers is a networking, education and support group for lawyers making job or career transitions and for lawyers wishing to examine their options both personally and professionally.

This group meets the third Wednesday of each month from 12:15PM to 1:30PM in Vancouver at the LAP office, 1080 Mainland Street, Suite 415.

For further information, please call the Lawyers Assistance Program at 604-685-2171 or just drop into a meeting.

This workshop will be facilitated by Robert Bircher B.A., J.D., M.A., is a Registered Clinical Counselor on staff with the Lawyers Assistance Program. Robert practiced law for 25 years, taught at several universities and has designed many psycho-educational workshops for lawyers.
