This section provides useful and practical information about the implications of aboriginal and treaty rights for business and resource development in Alberta. The duty to consult, fiduciary obligations owed to aboriginal and treaty rights are emphasized. The section also examines the broader legal and policy issues relation to the ongoing reconciliation between the settler society and the aboriginal peoples of Canada. In conjunction with the Faculty of Law, U of C, the section hosts an annual distinguished speaker elcture and reception.
