In this section, speakers present on current, topical issues of interest to our members. The speakers invited provide different backgrounds and perspectives, from regulatory authorities and governmental policy makers and industry representatives to non-governmental organizations and the local environmental bar. Issues discussed have included updated regulatory and legislative developments, significant judicial and administrative decisions, and industry developments likely to impact upon the practices of our members. The section also enjoys a good relationship with the Ministry of Environment, and environmental ministers or their deputy ministers have spoken to the membership every section year.
